Alien Invasion

In Alien Invasion, I explore the tension between nostalgia and paranoia rooted in 1950s and 60s sci-fi culture. Inspired by vintage newspaper articles on flying saucers, I used transfer techniques to embed fragments of these texts into the painting. Bold palette knife textures evoke movement and chaos, echoing the dramatic flair of classic alien invasion films. This piece reflects on how cultural fears were transformed into cinematic spectacle—and how those stories continue to haunt and fascinate us.
