Samantha French - Breakthrough II Study

During my time at Queen’s University, we were assigned a project to reinterpret a portrait by another artist. I chose to push my creative boundaries by selecting Samantha French’s “Breakthrough II,” a piece that stood out to me for its use of light, water, and movement. This challenge allowed me to explore new techniques and deepen my understanding of painting the human form in a dynamic, abstracted environment.
